Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend for students and part-time work. Lennox felt that her skills aren't the same as the Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other options she could pursue. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground. She quit the group before they appeared on I.T.V's talents show New Faces. She was the vocalist in The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and 1980. It was during this time that she came across Dave Stewart with whom she formed her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to record her debut solo album Diva. It was released in 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise, both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul songs. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox released Lepidoptera which is a compilation of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut self-produced album as well as a follow-up to an art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is a Scottish politician, philanthropist and musician and singer. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to gain international recognition in the 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career in 1992 when she released the album of Diva that featured many of her most popular tracks like Why and walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. The album features covers of songs like The No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer is acknowledged with six studio albums solo and one compilation. |
